The Panasonic Hdtv models released in 2007 display a new grid structure and thinner walls to increase the lit area in order to take advantage of the 25% improvement in brightness that occurs. All the plasmas have a black finish and the 75 series has the speakers built into the bottom bezel. The step up models have their speakers set to their sides. The 75 series of Panason Hdtvs come in two sizes-the 42" with a resolution of 1024 x 768 and the 50" size with a resolution of 1366 x 768. Both these TVs have HDMI inputs. The 77 series has both 42' and 50" models and an anti glare screen coating made up of silica particles adds beauty and grace to the whole. The dull satin finish that is produced by the anti glare screen creates parallels with the LCD flat panel and the reflections caused by room lighting is largely eliminated. The 700 series of Panasonic hdtv panels comes with a Gallery player which allows the customer display works of art and photos using a built in SD card holder. It also comes with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a 42" 1080p panel. The series is expected to be completed with a 50" and a 58" screen size models soon. They have three HDMI inputs and H 264 movie playback features that use the SD card as in the 700 series. The Studio Reference models added to this, the Panasonic hdtv enables the customer get an exact color reproduction as seen in the reference models of film editing studios. This enhances the colors and the expressions. The dynamic gamma control and Pro Setting Mode for professional calibration set the TVs in this series apart. The TH-65Z750U, 65" Panasonic hdtv that was released in June 2007 has all the features of the 750 series. However, the stand and the speakers are missing from the unit and have to be purchased at an extra cost. The model is referred to as the "Terminator". From 2007 the cable card is missing in these TVs. Cable subscribers will have to obtain the HD cable box separately. All these models come with the QAM/ATSC digital tuner for over the air and unscrambled cable content. All the Panasonic hdtvs accept 1080p signals. It is significant that the 37" plasma Panasonic hdtv has been discontinued. The other models released in 2006 continue to be marketed. |
